Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences (SeAMK) is a working life oriented institution of higher education and an efficient actor in education and research, development and innovation (RDI) in the region of South Ostrobothnia in West Finland.

Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences (SeAMK) is a key partner in the SIXFOLD project, bringing strong expertise in applied research and innovation to the field of food technology.

Through SeAMK Food Labs, the university provides a dynamic environment for education, experimentation, and the testing of a wide range of food processing technologies. As a bridge between academia and industry, SeAMK collaborates closely with food companies and technology developers to advance the entire food value chain.

SeAMK plays an important role regionally, nationally, and internationally. It represents the South Ostrobothnia region in the ERIAFF network, chairs the Food System Working Group, and contributes to European initiatives such as the FOODPathS project.

In SIXFOLD, SeAMK acts as the Project Coordinator, leads Work Packages 3 and 5, contributes to all others, and serves as the main contact point for the regional ecosystem in South Ostrobothnia. With a strong focus on innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainability, SeAMK helps shape the future of food systems through practical solutions and collaborative research.
