OPTITEC

OPTITEC is one of the leading European and French deep-tech clusters with 230 members located in the south of France (Sud Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur and Occitanie regions) specialised in photonics, imaging and artificial intelligence (AI) applications dedicated to precision agriculture, smart cities, medical technologies, intelligent mobility, aerospace, security and defense.

OPTITEC's mission on the regional/national level is to foster and promote activities of the photonics and imaging sectors in the south of France and to strengthen the synergies between its stakeholders from research, higher education and industry sectors.

On the European level the cluster fosters the participation of its members in various EU research and development programmes, notably in Horizon 2020. In order to enhance the visibility and competitiveness of its members it facilitates the interaction with European R&D partners via its Brussels office.

On international level, the cluster supports internationalisation activities of members by organising participation in international trade fairs and by setting-up trade delegations aiming to reinforce cooperation with third (non-EU) countries.
