Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia

Slovenia

CCIS, representing the agricultural and food/ICT sector, is the most influential business association in Slovenia.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (CCIS) is the largest independent, voluntary,
non-profit association of companies in Slovenia, representing the interests of its members from all
sectors of the economy. Through its specialized chambers and associations, CCIS provides support,
knowledge exchange, and advocacy to strengthen competitiveness, innovation, and sustainable
growth in Slovenia and internationally.

The Chamber of Agriculture and Food Enterprises (CAFE) within CCIS unites over 200 members
representing the agricultural and food sector in Slovenia. It’s a member of FoodDrinkEurope and 10
other European sectoral organizations. It’s a coordinator of the strategic research and innovation
partnership for sustainable food production (SRIP HRANA).

SRIP HRANA is a central platform of a dynamic community of agricultural holdings, enterprises,
associations, research and development institutions, investors and other stakeholders in Slovenia.
With focus on improvement of innovation, research and development activities, it works towards
greater competitiveness, growth and progress of the agri-food sector. Key horizontal areas of the
action plan are digitalization, human resources development and internationalization. Vertical focus
areas are new technologies and materials and five sectorial value chains (dairy, meat, grains, fruit
and beer).

The ICT Association of Slovenia (ZIT), also part of CCIS, represents over 260 Slovenian ICT companies,
including major global players and innovative SMEs. ZIT actively drives digital transformation in
Slovenia’s economy and society by promoting the development, implementation, and export of
advanced digital solutions. It coordinates SRIP GoDigital, the Strategic Research and Innovation
Partnership for Digitalisation, which connects ICT providers with manufacturing, energy, mobility,
health, and other sectors to accelerate digital transformation through AI, cybersecurity, robotics, IoT,
and cloud-based technologies. SRIP GoDigital facilitates cross-sectoral collaboration, supports R&D
projects aligned with Slovenia’s Smart Specialisation Strategy, and enhances digital skills to ensure
inclusive, secure, and sustainable digital growth.
