Virtual International Week organized by SeAMK

SMART SENSORS 4 AGRI-FOOD will present at the SeAMK Virtual International Week on Wednesday 17.2.2021. We invite our partners to join the week or part of it in February 2021.

Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences (SeAMK, FI) is organizing a virtual international week on 15-19.2.2021. The theme is ‘Sustainability and Digitalization in Higher Education’. The role of higher educational institutions in regional, European and global level development is highlighted, for example, in:

  • educating and training future and current workforce, especially in sustainable production and consumption;
  • shifting the mindset of citizens, including entrepreneurs, from linear to circular;
  • European and global level collaboration in research, development and innovation (RDI) tackling sustainability and digitalization related challenges; and
  • building-up the resilience of the societies.

Presenters from the European Commission – DG Education and DG Connect – will elaborate on Sustainability and Digitalization in Erasmus+ 2021-2027, on Digital Europe and the Role of HEIs, and on European Universities enhancing HEI Collaboration in tackling the societal challenges.

SeAMK Principle Lecturers/Senior Researchers will present SeAMK's key competence and RDI areas in digitalization and sustainability vis-à-vis growth entrepreneurship, digital manufacturing and industrial Internet of Things, health technology and food safety. SeAMK’s partners, including Smart Sensors 4 Agri-Food, have an opportunity to present their approach in sustainability and digitalization in both education and RDI.

SeAMK is piloting a new form for an international week, where the aim is to bring education and RDI closer to each other. The preliminary programme can be found here.

We invite representatives from higher educational institutions and other organizations involved in research, development and innovation to participate in the SeAMK virtual international week based on your own interest. Of particular importance are the workshops on Thursday 18.2.2021, where future collaboration opportunities are discussed.

Please join SeAMK virtual international week and register here by 15th of January 2021.
